Kingdom of Ravenna | Roman Empire |
Genoa Crisis was a war fought fought between the Roman Empire, and the Kingdom of Ravenna for control of the region of Genoa which on mass supported the union with the Kingdom of Ravenna making this partly a rebellion. The success of the Genoa Crisis in liberating themselves from the Roman Empire would lead to another and more expansive rebellion in the form of the Northern Roman Revolt but unlike the Independance of Ravenna and the Genoa Crisis this next stage would introduce large scale Lucernian armies into Italy as the Genoa Crisis had proven the weakeness of the Roman Empire.
The Genoa Crisis is dealt with heavily in two stories in the form of Shadow of Rome, and Rise of Ravenna with also mentions of this conflict throughout the main Lucernian storyline.
The Genoa Crisis would be sparked following the independance of Ravenna which led to the now independant Ravenna striving for more influence and control of northern Italy and this would first move in the direction of Genoa where personal drama in Genoa led to the region becoming desperate to leave the Roman Empire.
