The Kingdom of Senegal is a large Kingdom that lies within the Empire of Emblam where it is a dominant naval power and one of the most powerful nations of Africanas.

The Kingdom of Senegal is an absolute monarchy ruled over by Royal Family of Senegal who stands as the top of the power structure of the Kingdom of Senegal. Standing beneath the Monarchy lies the Senate of Senegal which is split between two branches in the Themes, and the Church with both maintaining a 50-50 split of the Senate voting.

The Kingdom of Senegal speaks Italian which was brought to the island by the Pheonicians, and its use of Italian has spread the language through many of the African nations that were taken pushing this European language into the larger languages of the land.

The Kingdom of Senegal is dominated by the two ethnic groups in the form of the Pheonicians of Carthage and the Ghanaian of which the Pheonicians are transplanted from Carthage after the Carthagian Empire took control of much of western Africanas and the Ghanaian's are the natives of the island.

The Kingdom of Senegal has the state religion of Nestorian Christianity and despite coming to side with the Orcs during the Orc Invasion of France it was Christianity which became more powerful and was not diminished by this moral decay.

The Kingdom of Senegal contains two main military orders within its borders with the first being the Order of Ekrodomis of whom acts as an elite knight order as well as an intelligence order, while the second is the Order of Vendolimis which is a Magi order that trains and organizes the Magi individuals within the Kingdom of Senegal.

The Kingdom of Senegal would become increasingly influential in the area of Africanas when it made trade agreements with the Empire of Emblam where in they constructed a large amount of bridges for the Orcs who were unable to cross the water otherwise and in return they were given large amounts of minerals and wealth as well as becoming quite skilled in the engineering of bridges. During the Ghana-Senegal War Natine would watch as her father, and four brothers were killed leading to her becoming the queen of Senegal and as queen she would negotiate a peace treaty with the Kingdom of Ghana and as a result of this peace treaty it was believed by Ghana that Senegal was back in step with the alliance between the two nations but in fact the deaths of her father and brothers broke Natine who became obsessivly hateful towards the Kingdom of Ghana and specifically her former lover Ozwald Boateng. The Kingdom of Senegal would send its prince to assist Yor during the events of the Emblam Civil War but after arriving at Wrothgaria the prince would decide that Yor's cause was lost and turned against Yor siding with Doblin and bringing the naval and ground forces of Senegal to the side of Doblin. The Kingdom of Senegal would following its assistance of Doblin during the events of the Emblam Civil War become a favored partner for the Doblin Emblam Empire and in this way became incorporated into the Emblam Empire where it became the engineers of the empire and begin designing the bridges that would allow the Orcs to reach areas such as Ghana which they otherwise would not have been able to reach.

Natine's life and future would change dramatically when the brother of Ozwald Boateng would rape her and when she went to Ozwald for help he refused to believe her sparking her to flee Ghana and return to Senegal where she revealed what had happened and this sparked the Ghana-Senegal War. Ozwald returning to Accra where he goes to see Natine in her room at the estate but she is not there so he leaves her a note and goes to see his sister and spends hours with her and eventually falls asleep in her room. Waking in the morning he goes back to Natine's room and she is once again missing and when he once again leaves a note for her the palace guardsmen Oolah of the White Jaguar laughs and tells him that Natine has had several men in her room in the last few nights and shocked Ozwald runs away returning to his room. Returning to her room to demand to know who she is with it is Oolah that gives him a location and he travels there and storming inside he finds her naked in bed with a man and overcome with rage he goes to kill the man but is stopped by his best friend Dumisa Sontonga of whom drags him out of there with the help of two of his guards. Storming away form the situation he would go to his father telling him what has happened and his father immediatly orders her banishment from Ghana and the end of the betrothal as well as the drafting of a letter to be sent to her father demanding a return of the dowry money that he gave to him to pay for her arrival. Despite the reservations of his father it is Ozwald that is able to convinse his father to give him time to speak to Natine before she is taken from the island and in this he travels to her room where she is on the floor crying as Ghana guards are packing everything in her room with little care for damage. As she sees him she runs to him to hug him but he pushes her back and then as she cries he stands back questioning her and is shocked when she tells him that his brother Tozdan raped her while he was away and she doesn't remember anything since. Ozwald is overcome with rage at the acusation as his jelousy springs to its extreme and he acuses her of sleeping with many men and despite her tears and words he doesn't believe her and storms from the room demanding her to leave him alone.

Hasdrubal, and Aradus Abrefa would lead the second Senegese army into the Battle of Accra where there goal was to delay the main Ghana army at Accra long enough for the main Senegal army to take control of Kumasi, but they discovered that the forces of Ghana were far more numerous then their intelligence had told them and the 2nd army would be crushed at the Battle of Accra, and their defeat was so complete at the battle that no one was able to escape to warn the 1st army at Kumasi.

Battle Tombo Island[]

Hamilcar, and Hanno Abrefa would be commanded to attack the island of Tombo on the south-eastern waters of Ghana and during this attack Hamilcar leading the 4th army of Senegal would walk the army into a trap which led to the destruction of the Senegal fleet transporting them.

Battle of Kumasi[]

Hanibal Abrefa would be in command of the 3rd Senegal Army which was leading the assault on the southern defences of Kumusi and it was here where he would be ambushed by the arrival of the Ghana army of whom would crush the entire 3rd army and during the fighting Hanibal would be killed.

As the remaining forces of Senegal retreated back to Senegal following the catastrophic battle of Kumasi, and as these retreating forces returned to Senegal it became clear that the casualties were immense including nearly the entirety of House Abrefa having been killed including the King of Senegal and his heirs leading panic among the remaining leaders of Senegal. In the chaos that appeared following this it was Natine Abrefa who stepped into the vacuum and rallying the remaining leadership to her she would through sheer charisma fight off attempts to have another house named to the monarchy and had herself named the Queen of Senegal and while she was personally rising to great heights she was devastated when her mother Domina Abrefa overcome with depression committed suicide and Natine in order to protect her position hid this suicide. Natine having been named queen following all the death among House Abrefa she would negotiate a peace treaty with the Kingdom of Ghana and as a result of this peace treaty it was believed by Ghana that Senegal was back in step with the alliance between the two nations but in fact the deaths of her father and brothers broke Natine who became obsessively hateful towards the Kingdom of Ghana and specifically her former lover Ozwald Boateng.

The Senegal-Emblam Alliance[]

With Natine Abrefa as the Queen of Senegal she spent a year consolidating her holdings in Senegal executing anyone who questioned her leading to her having a complete stranglehold of the Kingdom of Senegal and this only got better with the return of Elissa Magonid of whom as a mother figure to her returned to keep her safe, but even with all this going well for her she could not shake the hatred she had for Ghana and this would lead to her beginning plans to meet with Emblam. Natine would travel to Wrothgaria accompanied by her elite Order of Ekrodomis and at the meeting of Wrothgaria convinsed the Emblam leadership including Doblin that she could get them to Ghana on ships and in return she wanted revenge and control of the waterways of Africanas and at this meeting they would agree to her demands and she left to begin construction of the Senegal Fleet.

The Senate of Senegal would be divided into two Assemblies. The first would be the Church Assembly or the Assembly of the Dark made up of churchmen and appointed by the Church of Holy Senegal. The second would be the Patrician Assembly or the Assembly of the Light made up of higher class citizens who were given these positions by the Monarchy of Senegal.

Gender Roles[]

Like much of the society under the rule of Natine Abrefa the gender based titles and positions were continued within the Senate where the Assembly of Church was made entirely of men (Assembly of the Dark), while the Assembly of the Patricians was made of entirely women (Assembly of the Light).

The Kingdom of Senegal is dominated by the two ethnic groups in the form of the Pheonicians of Carthage and the Ghanaian of which the Pheonicians are transplanted from Carthage after the Carthagian Empire took control of much of western Africanas and the Ghanaian's are the natives of the kingdom. Due to the long period of time with the two groups living together there is a sizeable third group in the form of Ghanicians of which are the mixed population of the island.

The Army of Senegal is a large standing army of mixed professional, and volunteer forces which are used to both defend Senegal and take part in the large amount of conflicts that Senegal has become involved in.

Knights of Natine's Grace[]

The Knights of Natine's Grace are a female order of warrior knights that are trained and controlled under the Teachings from the so called Gospel of Natine, and are thus a religious as well as military knighthood. The Knights of Natine's Grace have risen to prominence as they have been commanded to be placed into positions of command over military divisions by Queen Natine Abrefa, and after years of indoctrination the Knights of Natine's Grace are very devout in their belief in the Gospel of Natine.

Culture[]

Marriage and Divorce.[]

Marriage is far more liberal within the Kingdom of Senegal as the Gospel of Natine has taught a more feminist view of sexuality and marriage leading to this liberalism towards marriage. For a divorce to be granted there needs to be either acceptance from both parties, or for one party to be able to accuse the other of any of the six cardinal sins laid out in the Gospel of Natine.
